“Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and building a meaningful life, rooted in deep connection while raising ourselves alongside our children.”

Nick & Shannon
Nick Draxl
Father. Elite Ski Coach. Movement Expert.Nick is a dual Australian-Austrian national whose life has been shaped by mountains, movement, and the pursuit of genuine performance.
A former member of the Australian National Alpine Ski Team and Salomon Global Freeski athlete, he has spent more than two decades competing and coaching at the highest levels — from Winter Olympics, World Cup and X Games events, to national team programmes across New Zealand, Austria, and Italy.
Fluent in English and German, Nick has lived and worked around the world, building teams, representing athletes, and leading programmes in some of the world's most demanding alpine environments.
He co-founded CrossFit Byron Bay and brings the same standards he applied in elite sport into everything built at GLMC — rigour, precision, and a deep respect for what mountains ask of us.
At the core of everything Nick does is a return to fundamentals — how we move, how we nourish ourselves, how we rest, and how we relate to one another.
He believes that generational wisdom coupled with innovative, creative thinking should be at the forefront of how we lead the next generation into a brighter future, one where we are more connected to nature, than to technology.
Shannon is a Mother of two and a traveller of the world whose work has always centred on one thing: helping women come home to themselves.
With more than fifteen years in the wellness industry, her qualifications span nutrition for female hormones, strength and conditioning, breathwork, somatics, trauma-informed mentoring, Reiki, and perimenopause coaching — alongside her ongoing studies within the somatic arena.
Alongside Nick, she co-founded CrossFit Byron Bay — a season that shaped her deeply, forged their partnership, and planted the seeds of the life they knew they wanted to build. It remains one of the greatest achievements of her life, second only to raising their two children.
She is the author of Becoming Whole Again and has been published in USA Today, Entrepreneur, HEAL Magazine, and beyond. She has facilitated more than 5 international wellness retreats across the globe and spent years mentoring women through the deepest kind of rebuilding.
Shannon believes the mother is the metronome of the home — and finds richness in the simple: bare feet on the ground, whole food, deep conversation, movement, and unhurried time in nature. She brings all of it to GLMC — not as programmes or packages, but as a way of being. When the parent is nourished, the whole family feels it. That is the thread she tends.
